Waccamaw Youth Center operates in an open and transparent manner in accordance with applicable legal requirements and uses assets exclusively and effectively to serve the purpose for which it has been created. It is very important to us to provide the community with access to clear, timely and accurate information about our programs, activities, service recipients and finances.
The Center has both a Fundraising and Finance Committee and an Audit Committee which assist in our transparency initiatives. In addition, the Executive Committee and Treasurer monitor finances on a monthly and quarterly review period. Each year, the Center has an annual audit conducted and files our taxes according to state and federal regulations using a CPA selected by the Audit Committee.
